650 Years of Pützchens Markt
This year will see a special anniversary of our giant fun fair at Bonn-Pützchen, with special highlights and attractions for everyone as well as a big firework on the last evening.
Every year on the second weekend of September, "Pützchens Markt” (vernacular for "Fair of the Well”) offers attractions of all kinds: from action and adventure to food, drink and sweets, and a host of other things in between. It is one of Germany´s biggest fairs in terms of turnover. The roots of this traditional event in Bonn go back to the 14th century.
Visitors will once again find the successful mixture of traditional merry-go-rounds, modern fun-fair high-tech and nostalgic stalls. Approximately 500 businesses with a front length of 4.5 kilometers will present whatever goods and services they have to offer on the 80,000 square meters fair ground. Usually the spectacle attracts around one million visitors every year. The number will probably be even higher during the anniversary year.

8 September to 1 October
Beethoven Festival 2017
This year’s edition of this world-famous festival in our city will again feature over fifty concerts at 23 different venues in the city. The main program will be accompanied by a great number of other events in Bonn that relate to the festival in one way or another (e.g. lectures, smaller concerts, public screens, exhibitions).
