The panel will look at the roles of both the UN and the EU as peacemakers and peacekeepers in Europe with numerous challenges still ahead. Experts will discuss goals, strategies and efforts to achieve and maintain peace as well as the importance of cooperation.

Open-Air Festival at Rheinaue Park: Jeck im Sunnesching 2017
Get out your crazy hat or a colorful shirt and celebrate: Local bands present Carnival music and more. There will also be a street food festival along with a colorful stage program. Please note that visitors must be above 16 years of age.

SSF Festival on Münsterplatz
Bonn’s large sports association SSF will again present all kinds of offers and sports in the city center. There will be comprehensive information on all courses and programs, on memberships and fees, along with a fun program for the entire family.

Concert Evening: Telemann, Mozart, Vivaldi, Haydn
The Poppelsdorf Castle Concerts have been moved to the University’s Arkadenhof for this year. Klassische Philharmonie Bonn will again present famous classical works. The illumination of the courtyard in the evening will highlight the beautiful architecture of the building. On a rainy night, the concerts will take place in the University’s Auditorium.

One World Festival
Proceeds will go to relief work for homeless people in Bonn.
Donations for a buffet are highly welcome.
Entrance free.

By the way, the organizers of this festival have also installed a so-called Social Fence for the homeless people in the city: everybody can donate clothing, toiletries, dog food, sleeping mats and more. Simply leave your gift in a plastic bag on the fence and label it on the outside. Do not leave food on the fence. You will find the Social Fence at Am Alten Friedhof / Bornheimer Straße.

Still on: Jazz Tube Festival
There will be several concerts at our tram stops in the city center: Bonn Hbf / Thomas-Mann-Str., Universität / Markt and Heussallee / Museumsmeile over the coming weekends. They form part of this year’s Jazz Tube Festival in town and usually start late in the afternoon. For details, see www.jazz-tube-bonn.de
