Event Invitation “Our World – Our Future” on 10 November 2017 from 13.30 to 14.30
Extreme weather events, hurricanes, droughts, coastal erosion. All of these are effects of climate change which are particularly affecting Pacific Island States and seem to be far away from us here in Europe.
How do young people from Fiji, Kiribati, Samoa, the Solomon Islands, the Marshall Islands or Vanuatu experience the consequences of climate change? Why are their experiences of interest for young adults in Europe? Which effects of climate change affect us here? How can I get involved?
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH gives you the chance to discuss these topics with young adults from the Pacific Islands States at our side event at the World Climate Change Conference 2017 (COP 23)
Our World – Our Future
What you can expect is an interactive and open format which will give you a chance to meet with young adults from the Pacific Small Island States and already active young Europeans. Get excited about videos, a quiz and concrete ideas for further action. The event will take place in English and will be free of cost.
