Coming up on Wednesday, 21 November: Public Lecture Series at GIZ
GIZ kindly invites to a public lecture entitled “Global Disaster Risk Management: The Work of GIZ” on Wednesday, 21 November, 6:15 – 7:45 p.m.
Disaster risk management plays an important role in international cooperation and is therefore part of GIZ's global work. Disaster risk management is an important prerequisite for sustainable development in the partner countries of German Development Cooperation. This is also reflected in the major agendas of the international community. A focus will be placed on the relationship between disaster risk management and sustainable development by explaining the approach and background of GIZ's work and reporting from practice using the example of Ukraine.
This event is part of the public lecture series “International Civil Protection and Disaster Risk Reduction”, jointly launched by the University of Bonn and the City of Bonn in cooperation with numerous other organizations.
The lecture series provides insight into the practical work of the United Nations, federal ministries and authorities, businesses, academia and NGOs in Bonn and the region.
